"4 Brands by 4 Materials" indicates the four brands that represent the concepts common to all products designed by K Corporation, which was founded by an architect (designer) named Masayuki Kurokawa. Designers focus on creating a work of art and a valuable product at the same time in order to deliver their philosophy by advertising and selling products. There are two product groups within K Corporation, yin and yang, which convey the idea of "re-editing the techniques of traditional artisans" and the use of "aesthetics in business". In 2009, the brand “K” has begun to be spotlighted in various media throughout the exhibition around the country. As a result, the amount of media coverage has increased, along with name recognition.
