The lids designed by Mr.Tessetsu Kurortani

I saw the lids of kettles for tea ceremony which were designed by Mr Tessetsu Kurotani after his death in his factory, Takaoka City in Toyama Prefecture. I was very impressed with the beauty of the lids which Tesstsu left, so I set my heart on designing kettles which could express its beauty. This is the episode which this ketteles were created.

All the cast-iron products of the brand series of “IRONY” are created by “ SEIKOUDO KOUGEISHA INC.” in Yamagata Prefecture. “SEIKOUDOU” is the very historical metal craft factory, which has started its business by the first Mr. Kiroku in the late of Edo period in Doumachi in Yamagata City. The tenth-generation young caster, Mr. Takumi Satoh creates this

iron kettle using real-traditional method.
The process of painting Japanese lacquer and baking, the goods are used by oxide film to prevent rust.
